BURDUR MEHMET AKİF ERSOY UNIVERSITY CENTER FOR AGING STUDIES APPLICATION AND RESEARCH (YASAM), HAPPINESS RESEARCH COORDINATORSHIP and BURDUR PROVINCIAL DIRECTORATE OF FAMILY AND SOCIAL SERVICES COLLABORATION WITH SENSORY-SOCIAL INTERACTION WORKSHOPS ARE STARTING….

The Sensory-Social Interaction workshop studies, organized in partnership with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Center for Aging Studies Application and Research (YASAM) and Happiness Research Coordination, will begin on November 28, 2024, at Burdur Hilmi Hafize Evin Nursing Home Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center and will last for 5 weeks. As part of the workshop studies, group discussions themed 'Feeling Good' will be held with the nursing home residents every week by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen ARSLAN and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz SAY ŞAHİN. The orientation and training of the volunteer students from the Center for Aging Studies Application and Research, who will participate in the workshop studies, have been completed under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen ARSLAN and Lecturer Gülnihal ALTUN, and memory, communication, skill, and coordination applications will be conducted interactively with games on a different theme each week during the workshop studies. The Workshop Studies, which will be carried out with the support of our university and based on the mission of Social Contribution, are planned to be completed on December 26, 2024.
