Participation in the December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities Event from MAKÜ YAŞAM…

Our Faculty's Social Work Department Faculty Members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülsüm Korkut, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Say Şahin, and Dr. Lecturer Merve Nur Oktar participated in the 'Gönül Teli' program organized within the scope of December 3rd International Day of Persons with Disabilities with Social Work Department students and YAŞAM (Center for Aging Studies Application and Research) volunteer students. At the event organized, the residents of the nursing home, individuals with disabilities and their families, and our students who participated in the event accompanied by live music consisting of local tunes enjoyed the night and emphasized social awareness on the subject. This special day was organized to ensure the full and effective participation of individuals with special educational needs in social life, to support intergenerational interaction with our university students, and to raise awareness in society, successfully bringing together individuals from all segments of society, and all participants had a fun time throughout the night. We thank the Burdur Provincial Directorate of Social Services, the Producers of Kanal 15 Gönül Teli Program, and the Burdur Hilmi Hafize Evin Elderly Care and Rehabilitation Center Directorate for their invitations.
